#Metoo

You’re not alone

Sharing your story is healing, but you don’t have to share it on social media, or post #metoo for all to see.

So many women shared their stories of sexual harassment or abuse this week spurred on by #metoo.

The impact of sexual harassment, assault, and misogyny on our society is massive. This week, the winds have changed, and it’s a beginning!

However it’s come to light, we need to celebrate that it’s out in the open and being discussed.

I don’t know a woman alive who hasn’t felt this at some point in her life, so you’re not alone.

Sharing your story is healing.

It releases you from the shame, fear, or anger of the incident and allows you to let go of the secret.

It gives you strength in knowing others have had felt the same emotions and understand how you’re feeling.

It empowers you to take back your strength and builds resiliency.

Sharing your story may be uncomfortable and messy, but it’s time to find a way that works for you. Whether it’s talking to someone, writing it in a journal, screaming your lungs out or sharing on #me too.

You’re not alone.
